About Sir Thomas Rich’s School
Sir Thomas Rich’s School are a selective grammar school, taking 150 boys into Year 7 who join from Gloucester, the county and beyond. They have a mixed Sixth Form into which they have welcomed a current total of 150 girls. In every Ofsted inspection they have been judged Outstanding. They were awarded Specialist College status in three areas (Languages, Science, Leading Edge Mentor School) and on 1st October 2010 they became one of the first of the new Academies. Although they endeavour to ensure pupils have access to the latest educational developments, they have not forgotten their heritage and they are proud of their traditions, the best of which underpin and influence the overall ethos of the school.
