Colyton Grammar School 11 Plus Exam Format

The Colyton Grammar School 11 Plus consists of English, Mathematics and Writing assessments provided by Quest Assessments.

English and Maths each last approximately 40 minutes and use multiple-choice questions with separate OMR answer sheets. The Writing task lasts 20 minutes.

What Does the Colyton Grammar School Exam Format Mean for Preparation?

Preparation should concentrate on strong English, secure Maths, accurate multiple-choice technique and the ability to produce a clear written response within a short time.

Children should become familiar with separate answer sheets during timed practice, but OMR technique should support rather than replace the development of the underlying English and Maths skills.

Colyton Grammar School 11 Plus Mock Exams and Practice Papers

Learning Street currently offers four Colyton mock exam packs developed around the preceding FSCE format. They cover English, Maths and Creative Writing and continue to provide relevant skills practice.

Because the live Quest test now uses fully multiple-choice English and Maths papers with OMR answer sheets and different timings, the current mocks should be used alongside Quest’s official familiarisation materials rather than treated as exact current-format replicas.
